Welcome to the Calvary Chess Club!

Calvary Christian School - Wilmington, NC

Who are we?

The Chess Club is where it's at, here at Calvary. Completely student-led, the Chess Club is a fun place to have fellowship with one another while playing the game of Chess. We meet in lunch period every day in room 311 on the 3rd floor of the Kathrine Godwin Educational Building.

Why should I join?

It's just fun! Chess is a game of strategy, and it's interesting to play. So, if you're bored of sitting at lunch doing nothing, the Chess Club may be right for you.

What if I don't know how to play?

That's completely okay! There are many online resources such as Duolingo and Chess.com that can help you learn how to play. We also have students that are experienced in chess that are happy to help, need be.

How do I sign up?

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!1. Ask Lex or Avery
2. Go to room 311 at 12:40 p.m. after telling a teacher you've joined
3. There's no step 3

Occupancy is limited!

Due to our room only being so large, we have a maximum of about 10 people in the club. Please talk to the President or Vice President to sort things out.

Got something to say? Tell us!

Fill out the form to send an E-Mail to the Chess Club.

A note from the President

I hope you have found this website useful for whatever you need regarding the Chess Club. Feel free (after asking a teacher) to stop by the club during lunch to check it out if you are considering joining. God bless you!-Lex Hobbs
